This drawing is a tribute to one of the most meaningful rituals in my life — walking with my best friend, Goose, down the dirt road on my parents’ farm. There is hardly anything that I cherish more than the steady presence of a loving dog and a sunset walk.

In this piece, I wanted to capture the companionship between people and their furry friends sharing a path and a moment in time. The love I feel for him, and the love I feel from him, is never stronger than on our evening walks.

My hope is that viewers see this drawing and feel an urge to hug their pup, to take them for a walk, and to savor those small everyday moments that become the most meaningful ones.
